Week 10 & 11 Discussion Board

Q Instructions: After you've made your post, please reply to at least two of your colleagues' posts. Your post should be submitted by Wednesday and your responses by Sunday. Discussion Prompt: They always say, "trust your gut" or your intuition. Some describe it as instinct or just a "feeling" that encourages us to do or not do something. How good are you at going with your gut and trusting your intuition? Is this easy or hard for you? Why do you think that is? Another way to look at this question is, can you usually tell what is going on in certain situations without others having to tell you anything? Can you "read" a room, as some describe? How do you think you know how to do this, or not? Evaluation: All discussions within this course are worth up to 10 points. Discussion posts and responses that are well developed and inline with the assigned content tend to earn more credit. • Post: up to 6 points for original thought, contribution or perspective not previously posted; for development of thought such as a full explanation, detail, insight. • Responses: up to 2 points for each response to the posting of others, spread throughout the week. I would have to say personally i am good at trusting my gut but I never really do that a lot surprisingly. The reason I say that is because that gut feeling has to do with emotion, and the way I look at it, is the better you control your emotions and think without them the easier the decision is to me. There are obviously times where choices we make are super hard and tough and we hit a wall, but i always try to use my brain more than emotions because I was taught to think with my brain and not my heart. And by all means I’m not no really cold hearted person, I just believe I am really good at controlling my emotions.
